Japanese Aluminium Grater is double sided of pressed and punched aluminium.
Typically the rough side would be used for daikon, ginger, or garlic, whilst the finer side would be used to produce smooth wasabi paste, but both can be used for the pulping of fruits and hard crisp vegetables, be that for condiments or baby food. Unlike western graters these remain unperforated meaning the pulp is collected on the surface and usually collected using a small brush. (the brush in image is no longer available)
